In June 2015, the Louisiana Department of Education established a unified statewide early childhood quality rating system. Each publicly-funded child care center serving children birth to five in Louisiana receives a Performance Profile that includes a rating based on rigorous classroom observations. It is with great pride and joy to inform you that our center has earned a 5 Star Rating which is the highest rating possible. This achievement was achieved by the hard work and dedication of each staff member at The Little Academy.

While in high school, Nancy worked in the  early education field as a young adult and fell in love with the industry. After she earned her Bachelor Degree from the University of New Orleans she worked as an electrical engineer for Trinity Marine Group and Textron Marine and Land for several years, but the desire to work with young children was so strong that she quit her engineering job and went to work at The Little Academy. In 2000, after working at the center for a couple years the original owner approached her with the opportunity to purchase the center. Nancy jumped at the chance to purchase the center, and was determined to make quality early education available for those in need free shopping guidehttps://www.longinesreplica.com/product/replica-rolex-day-date-mens-m228236-0002-40mm-silver-tone/. In line with this mission, she changed the center from Class B license to Class A license which allowed the center to accept Child Care Assistance for those in need, and for the center to get on the USDA Food Program. It was then Nancy’s desire for The Little Academy to earn the reputation of being the best early education center in the area. When the state instituted the Quality Rating System for early learning centers, Nancy knew this was their opportunity to show they were the best early learning center in the area. After embracing the Quality Rating System practices, The Little Academy was recognized as the first center in St. Tammany to earn the highest rating of five stars. When the state changed their rating system to CLASS, she and the staff at The Little Academy worked hard and earned the highest rating of five stars again! Nancy takes pride that her center provides children a safe, inviting, interesting and challenging environment of learning that maximizes the potential of every child.
